What will you gain?

This three-day programme is designed to help educators move from inspiration to implementation. Through a combination of certified training, practical tools, peer exchange, and real-world inspiration, participants will gain the confidence and resources to bring circular design into their own teaching practice.

Day 1: Learn the methodology and bring it into your classroom

The programme begins with CIRCO’s certified Train-the-Teacher Programme: an intensive one-day session introducing CIRCO’s proven circular design methodology, educational approach, and ready-to-use teaching toolkit. Participants will learn how to facilitate CIRCO’s interactive Student Class format, helping students understand why circular economy matters and apply circular design principles to real-world challenges.

Educators will leave with practical teaching materials, facilitation guides, presentation decks, exercises, and a clear framework they can immediately apply within their own institution. This first day also creates space to connect with fellow international educators, exchange ideas, and explore how circular design education can be adapted across different educational contexts.

Day 2 & 3: Experience the Dutch circular ecosystem

Training is only part of the experience. To bring circular economy to life, the programme also includes a two-day study tour across the Netherlands, offering direct exposure to circular innovation in both education and industry. Participants will visit Dutch universities of applied sciences already embedding circular design into their curricula, alongside leading businesses actively applying circular business models in practice.

By connecting classroom learning with real-world implementation, participants will gain practical examples, fresh inspiration, and actionable insights they can translate into their own educational environment.
