Dr Nicole Garofano

For more than 20 years, Nicole has worked in environmental education and action, with a focus on material recovery and circular economy strategies. She is the former Head of Circular Economy Development at Planet Ark, where she led the Australian Circular Economy Hub. In this role, she played a key part in establishing CIRCO in Australia and now contributes as a trainer. Nicole holds a PhD based on research into the plastic food and beverage packaging value chain, identifying innovations to improve processes and outcomes across the chain.
