John Chan

CIRCO trainer Singapore

John brings nearly 20 years of experience as a Product Designer and strategic thinker. During his tenure at Chemistry, he has led wide-ranging projects across both the public and private sectors.

His reasoned approach also gives him a tremendous ability to manage complex stakeholders and help resolve conflicting challenges with deft gracefulness. Combining his understanding of design and Design Thinking as a strategic problem-solving tool, he has delivered award-winning results with projects like the Home-Based Learning table, a response to help children study at home during the Circuit Breaker.

In 2021, he was the project director for the Founders’ Memorial, defining a future vision of the visitor experience for a landmark memorial commemorating Singapore’s founders. The work involved integrating the expertise of a multi-disciplinary team spanning New York to Tokyo.

Previous projects include working with SAA Architects on strategic future visioning of both Woodlands Health Campus’ Experience Blueprint for both patient and staff, as well as HealthCity Novena’s master plan for 2030 and beyond.

Most recently, John led the visitor experience blueprint development of LTA’s Mobility Gallery and Mobility Park as part of their new headquarters in Jurong.

As a founding trainer for CIRCO Hub Singapore and appointed Training Associate with the Civil Service College, John has 100s of hours of training experience for both the public and private sectors on design and innovation.
